This piece was inspired by my love for the Tucson mountains at sunset and these amazing lizards. I rolled each bead by hand to create my best rendition of this regal creature. This plate was over fired, meaning it got too hot in the kiln during bisque firing. This impacted the glazing process. I believe it helped the colors pop even more! All color was applied using colored slip.
